flag no-apply

Mode: Configuration Mode

Description:

By default, apply-groups and apply-groups-except are available for users to use defined groups settings (applying some commonly consistent settings for multiple objects.) Flag no-apply prevents these knobs from being applied on the object.

Example 1:

        object newbie {
            help "Newbie settings";
            flag no-apply;

            attribute number {
                help "Number configuration";
                type ranged int 0 .. 9;
            }
        }

Display:

With the no-apply flag:

        user@router# set example newbie ?
        Possible completions:
          <[Enter]>            Execute this command
          number               Number configuration (0..9)
          |                    Pipe through a command
        [edit]
        user@router# set example newbie apply-groups
                                        ^
        syntax error.
        user@router#

After removing the no-apply flag:

        user@router# set example newbie ?
        Possible completions:
          <[Enter]>            Execute this command
        + apply-groups Groups from which to inherit configuration data
        + apply-groups-except Don't inherit configuration data from these groups
          number               Number configuration (0..9)
          |                    Pipe through a command
        [edit]
