Unsupported Junos-FIPS Operational Commands

 

The following operating commands are not supported on Junos-FIPS:

Command

Description

request system software reboot at time in minutes usb

You must load the firmware image directly from the internal flash memory. Junos-FIPS does not support loading from an external source.

request system software rollback

You must upload a new version of the firmware explicitly. Junos-FIPS does not support the rollback to a previously saved version.

request security pki ca-certificate enroll

You must enroll the certificate authority enrollment manually. Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) is disabled.

ssh-keygen -t rsa -b 4096

You must not configure the RSA4096 command for the SSH key generation as the RSA4096 is not allowed in the FIPS-approved mode of operation. This command must not be performed on the device, though it is available on the device.

request security pki generate-key-pair certificate-id cert1 type rsa size 4096

You must not configure the RSA4096 command for the PKI key-pair generation as the RSA4096 command is not allowed in the FIPS-approved mode of operation. This command must not be performed on the device, though it is available on the device.
