Reinstalling and Uninstalling HealthBot

If you want to reinstall HealthBot and retain the current configuration data, perform the following steps:

  1. Back up your configuration data using the Web UI. For more information, see Deploying, Backing Up, and Restoring the HealthBot Configuration.
  2. Install the HealthBot package as described in Using the Interactive Installer or Using the Silent Installer
  3. Restore your saved configuration data by using the Web UI. For more information, see Deploying, Backing Up, and Restoring the HealthBot Configuration.

If you run the installer script without backing up your previous configuration data, all existing custom configuration used for root cause analysis, such as custom rules and playbooks, will be lost. The installer script deletes all custom configuration settings and time series data used for root cause analysis, but preserves custom configuration settings and data collected for log file analysis.

To uninstall HealthBot, enter the following command:

$ sudo healthbot uninstall

This command stops the HealthBot application and services, deletes the /var/local/healthbot directory and unloads the HealthBot docker images.
