Changing the MySQL Root Account Password (CTPView Server Menu)
For security purposes, change the default password for the MySQL server root user account.
Change the MySQL Root Account password at least yearly and whenever administrators change.
Before you begin, log in to the CTPView server and access the CTPView Configuration Menu. See Accessing the CTPView Server Configuration Menu (CTPView Server Menu).
You cannot use an SSH application to access the CTPView server until you have configured the server in your network and assigned it an IP address. See Configuring the Network Access (CTPView Server Menu).
To change the MySQL root account password:
- From the CTPView Configuration Menu, select 6) MySQL Functions.
- Select 1) Change MySQL root password.
- Follow the prompts to complete changing the password.
