Clearing an APSD Alarm (DOL Port)
Follow all applicable safety requirements as described in the BTI7800 Series Hardware Overview and Installation Guide.
- Check for and clear the following alarms and conditions:
- Check for alarms on the DOL port.
If the alarm has cleared, you have completed this procedure.
If the alarm does not clear, go to the next step.
- Check for and clear an APSD alarm on the NE at the far-end of the fiber.
- Check for alarms on the local DOL port.
If the alarm has cleared, you have completed this procedure.
If the alarm does not clear, contact your next level of support.
Clearing an APSD Alarm (terminal Amplifier Line Port)
Follow all applicable safety requirements as described in the BTI7800 Series Hardware Overview and Installation Guide.
- Check whether an LoLightRx alarm has been raised against the input amplifier Optical Supervisory Channel on the line port, and clear the alarm if it exists.
- Check for alarms on the terminal amplifier line port.
If the alarm has cleared, you have completed this procedure.
If the alarm does not clear, go to the next step.
- Check for and clear an APSD alarm on the far-end NE.
- Check for alarms on the local terminal amplifier line
port.
If the alarm has cleared, you have completed this procedure.
If the alarm does not clear, contact your next level of support.
