- Perform a cold reload (system reload cold) of the failed equipment.
- Check for alarms.
- If the alarm has cleared, you have completed this procedure.
- If the alarm does not clear, go to the next step.
- Reseat the equipment (equipment, traffic module, or pluggable transceiver).
- Check for alarms.
- If the alarm has cleared, you have completed this procedure.
- If the alarm does not clear, go to the next step.
- Replace the equipment.
- Check for alarms on the equipment.
- If the alarm has cleared, you have completed this procedure.
- If the alarm does not clear, contact your next level of support.
