    Parameter

    Description

    Code

    eqptBrownout

    Description

Equipment Brownout: A brownout condition has been detected on a UFM6 that is installed in a BTI7800 Series chassis powered by a DC power entry module (PEM).

Caution: Continued operation might cause equipment damage.

    Entities Affected

UFM modules (see respective table below).

Note: This alarm is supported on UFM6 modules only.

    Possible Cause

The 48 Vdc voltage supply to a UFM is lower than the minimum voltage threshold of the chassis, but not lower than the power-off threshold of the PEM.

    Default Severity

    Major

    Service Affecting

    Yes (true).

    Clearing an EqptBrownout Alarm

Note: Follow all applicable safety requirements as described in the BTI7800 Series Hardware Overview and Installation Guide.

    1. Retrieve environment information to view voltage data for the UFM6 and each PEM installed in the chassis:
      show environment voltage
    2. Check for and clear alarms raised against the PEMs, and ensure that they are properly seated and connected to power.
    3. Check for alarms on the UFM6.
      • If the alarm has cleared, you have completed this procedure.
      • If the alarm does not clear, contact your next level of support.
