Overview

The QFX3500 is a high-performance, low-latency, feature-rich Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch optimized for virtualized data center deployments. It can be used in seamless Juniper 1/10/40GbE architectures such as Virtual Chassis, Virtual Chassis Fabric, and QFabric deployments, as well as in open architectures such as Spine and Leaf and Layer 3.

The QFX3500 10GbE switch has 63 dual-mode, small form-factor pluggable transceiver (SFP+/SFP) ports, and four quad small form-factor pluggable plus (QSFP+) ports that deliver feature-rich Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity to high-performance networked data center devices.

The QFX3500 is also a standards-based Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) transit switch and FCoE-to-Fibre Channel (FCoE-FC) gateway that protects customer investments in existing data center aggregation and Fibre Channel storage area network (SAN) infrastructures.
