Dynamic Application Awareness is a licensed software that dynamically identifies applications, matches them with a policy, and configures the forwarding plane to enforce the policy (rate-limit, block, count, no action).

With this deep insight into and control over flows and the applications they support, service providers can create highly differentiated service offerings that drive new revenue streams and create competitive differentiation.

Operationally, Dynamic Application Awareness supports the collection of application-layer statistics that service providers can use to improve route and capacity planning activities, and to better understand the application mix on the network, its impact on the network, and how it changes over time.

Dynamic Application Awareness is licensed for the MX Series 3D as well as the M120 and M320 Multiservices edge routers.
