Together with Juniper Networks C5000 Controller, the C3000 is part of the second generation of Juniper Networks C Series Controllers. Like the first generation, the new C Series provides a full network policy management solution, with a compact appliance designed by Juniper Networks based on the specific requirements of policy and control solutions.
The C Series is entirely designed, shipped and supported as a single Juniper Networks product including hardware with impressive specifications for scale and performances, operating system and SRC Series software.

Building on the strengths of the previous generation of C Sseries controllers, the second generation of appliances features significant improvements:

The C3000 supports up to 300,000 concurrent sessions, making it the ideal appliance for small to medium policy deployments and for optional gateway functions. For example, it is capable of hosting SOAP or Diameter gateways.
