Installation and Commissioning (Rack and Stack)

Juniper Networks responsibilities

• Coordinate the installation activities between Juniper Networks and the customer
• Report on progress and completion
• Move equipment from customer storage area (on the same floor or in the same building) to customer-designated staging area or installation site
• Perform principal activities for Basic Installation as outlined in the scope
• Provide copy of Material Disposition Record to customer, when applicable
• Obtain customer acceptance and sign-off, and note exceptions during final inspection

Customer responsibilities

• Provide a design document that details the installation requirements
• Prepare the site and onsite management for installation services
• Notify Juniper of site readiness for installation 7 to 10 days prior to dispatch
• Provide all facilities equipment needed for installations
• Pre-install and pre-label all cables the organization provides to include the circuit locations
• Provide unobstructed access to sites, tools, and systems required for the performance of the work, and sufficient floor space to stage, store, and install equipment
• Provide AC or DC power source (as appropriate) within reach of installed equipment
• Provide access and escort (if needed) to facilities, including building and elevator access, at no additional cost
• Provide a disposal location for all unwanted packaging materials
• Provide written notice to the Juniper project manager as soon as the organization is aware or has reason to believe that (a) it will not meet any of the organization's responsibilities; and/or (b) any assumptions in the task order will not occur or are inaccurate
• Supply any additional supporting hardware necessary to install the equipment
