Junos Content Composer

Junos Content Composer* is an adaptive stream publishing application that makes it easy for you to deliver premium video content to multiple types of end user devices. Also known as multiscreen TV, or TV everywhere, delivering a high quality videos to varied devices over varying network conditions requires a technology called adaptive bit-rate streaming.

Adaptive streaming enables the video to adapt to changes in network conditions, device profiles and other variables—and it does so dynamically, with no user action required. Preparing content to be delivered via adaptive streaming is a multistep process, requiring content to be encoded then published in various adaptive streaming formats.

Junos Content Composer provides a highly scalable and efficient platform for adaptive stream segmentation, stream packaging, metadata publishing, and adaptive stream format translation.

A unique advantage of Junos Content Composer is that it runs on top of the caching and delivery engine—Junos Content Encore—and therefore enables publishing and delivery to be performed in a single system. This simplifies network design, reduces bandwidth across the network and generally makes delivering adaptive streaming content more efficient and cost-effective.
