Juniper Networks Receives 2009 SSPA STAR Award for Service Excellence

Juniper Wins Second Consecutive Year for Service Excellence in Mission Critical Support — Hardware

SUNNYVALE, Calif., November 9, 2009 — Juniper Networks® (NYSE: JNPR) today announced it has been honored with a Fall 2009 STAR Award for Service Excellence from the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the services industry's largest and most vibrant association. Juniper Networks received the STAR Award for Service Excellence in Mission Critical Support — Hardware.

"The STAR Awards are one of the most respected honors in the industry for service and support organizations," said Mike Rose, executive vice president of Service, Support and Operations at Juniper Networks. "Winning two consecutive years is an acknowledgement of Juniper's service-oriented culture driven to satisfy the world's demanding customers. It reflects our ongoing commitment to constantly improving the customer experience and delivering innovative service and support offerings."

The Service Excellence in Mission Critical Support — Hardware category recognizes organizations for providing technical support in mission-critical environments where "system up-time" is imperative, typically for enterprise customers. Technical support from these support organizations is a critical part of keeping customers "up and running" 24/7. Since its inception in 1990, the prestigious STAR Awards recognize technology companies who display exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment in service excellence.

"Juniper continues to demonstrate leadership in the development and execution of Mission Critical Support for enterprise hardware companies," stated JB Wood, president and CEO of TSIA. "Winning the Star Award two years in a row is an accomplishment not achieved by many companies."

Juniper Networks was presented with the STAR Award for Service Excellence at the Technology Services World (TSW) conference in Las Vegas. TSW is the preeminent source of learning and peer networking in the services industry and is hosted by TSIA, newly formed from the recently announced merger of AFSMI, SSPA, and TPSA, the three leading professional associations of the services and support industry.
