Juniper Networks and O’Reilly Media Release Latest Next-Generation Networking Books

New Enterprise Switching and High Availability Networking Books Provide Practical Approach to Network Design and Building Reliable, Resilient Networks

SUNNYVALE, Calif., September 17, 2009 — Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, and O'Reilly Media today announced the recent release of two new books in the Juniper Networks Technical Library™ (JNTL). JUNOS® Enterprise Switching is a hands-on field guide to the Juniper Networks EX platform and JUNOS High Availability provides network administrators, designers, and management with advice on building reliable and resilient networks that include Juniper Networks devices.

JUNOS Enterprise Switching: A Practical Guide to JUNOS Switches and Certification is a detailed technical book on Juniper Networks EX Series Ethernet Switches, with all-inclusive coverage of Juniper's switching platforms, architecture and packet flow, management options, user interface options, JUNOS switch deployment, as well as configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting guidelines. For more information, please visit http://www.juniper.net/us/en/training/jnbooks/junos_switching.html.

JUNOS High Availability: Best Practices for High Network Uptime explains how to build and maintain continuously available network systems. It provides advice on managing network equipment with best common practices, enhancing scalability and securing network equipment against breaches and DoS attacks. In the book, the authors explain how to intelligently modify multi-vendor networks and adapt new devices to existing protocols and platforms, and deploy continuous systems even when reporting scheduled downtime. "Each of these books provides a wealth of knowledge that includes a mix of test cases, case studies and specific answers to real-world problems. We are committed to providing our customers with innovative ideas that can accelerate business success."

The Juniper Networks Technical Library is for those seeking in-depth knowledge on JUNOS Software and managing high-performance networks with Juniper routers, switches, security appliances and other network components.
