Juniper Networks and Interoute Win Global Telecoms Business Award for Innovation in Fixed Network Infrastructure
Ground to Cloud Business Services Solution based on MX Series Delivers Scale and Feature Richness without Compromise
ENGLAND, August 11, 2009 — Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, and Interoute, a leading pan-European service provider offering both business and wholesale solutions have won the Fixed Network Infrastructure Innovation award with their joint solution. The joint award was presented at the recent Global Telecoms Business (GTB) Innovation awards ceremony in London.
The GTB Innovation Awards are designed to recognize innovative projects involving telecoms operators and service providers around the world, in association with their vendors and suppliers.
Juniper Networks and Interoute received the award for their Ground to Cloud Business services solution project, which advances the need for next generation providers to be able to combine scale and service sophistication without compromise. As part of this solution, Interoute has deployed Juniper Networks MX Series Ethernet Services Routers to create an advanced IP/MPLS infrastructure. This routing infrastructure is combined with Interoute's multi-terabit optical network in a joint solution, enabling Interoute to rapidly scale the customer service delivery capability across a wide range of services and features. For example, the Ground to Cloud portfolio includes high-speed, premium media conferencing services that can adapt easily to the customers' changing market environment.
