Juniper Networks Brings High-Performance Networking to New Orleans

Company to Showcase Solutions for Cable Operators at NCTA Cable Show; Gives Back to Community through CableCares Initiative

SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 15, 2008 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced it will showcase its high-performance networking solutions for cable operators at The Cable Show '08, hosted by NCTA (National Cable & Telecommunications Association) in booth # 2605. Juniper also announced it will assist NCTA's CableCares initiative--the umbrella charity program supporting the revitalization of New Orleans--to rebuild and refresh area schools by providing a variety of resources, including volunteer hours and a grant from the Juniper Networks Foundation Fund (JNFF).

At The Cable Show, the Juniper Networks booth will feature multiple demonstrations and product displays, including the multi-terabit T1600 core router, the new family of high-performance EX-series Ethernet Switches and the new BX 7000 Multi-Access Gateway. Demonstrations will focus on the ability of high-performance core and converged edge routers to enable the delivery of advanced, revenue-generating services.

Juniper and CableCares

Juniper is working with CableCares to provide funding and other resources to help revitalize area schools in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Specifically, Juniper is partnering with CableCares in the following areas:

• Banneker Elementary School: Juniper is working with several other leading companies to help bring Banneker Elementary school in west New Orleans a full complement of advanced cable services and comprehensive online multimedia resources. A grant from the JNFF is being put towards the purchase of new equipment, and Juniper employees will be on-site volunteering at Banneker on Saturday, May 17, installing and connecting the new technologies.
  
  There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony open to the press and public at Banneker Elementary School (421 Burdette Street, New Orleans) on Monday, May 19 at 8:30 a.m.
• Book Drive: Through an employee book drive, Juniper is helping rebuild New Orleans school libraries, many of whom lost most of their collections in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. With an effort that lasted nearly a month, Juniper employees donated hundreds of books. For employees who donated money to buy books, Juniper matched their contributions. The books and donations have been brought to the show for distribution to local schools and libraries by the NCTA, and will be presented at a ceremony on the show floor on Tuesday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m.
• Battle of the Bands: On Tuesday, May 20 at 8:00 p.m., NCTA is hosting the Battle of the Bands concert, a friendly (yet fierce) competition among bands made up of industry professionals. Proceeds from this charity concert will fund all of the CableCares initiatives as well as other projects around the city, and Juniper's rock band Full Mesh will be among the competitors.
