PCCW Expands IPTV Deployment with Juniper Networks Broadband Services Routers
Hong Kong Telecommunications Service Provider Boosts High-Performance IPTV, Broadband Internet and Multimedia Services with Juniper's E320 Routers
SUNNYVALE, Calif., December 6, 2007 -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that Hong Kong-based telecommunications service provider PCCW IMS Limited ("PCCW") has increased the scale and performance of its broadband network with E320 Broadband Services Routers. The E320 improves the capacity and performance of PCCW's broadband network and fully leverages its existing installed base of Juniper E-series routers.
PCCW has combined the granular bandwidth management, high performance and reliability of the E-series portfolio with the sophisticated policy management of the SDX-300 Service Delivery System-which is an important component of Juniper's Session and Resource Control portfolio-to offer flexible, high-quality and individualized services such as now TV, along with its interactive and Video-On-Demand (VOD) service, Netvigator broadband Internet access, and the fixed-line PCCW eye multimedia service.

The E320 supports high subscriber density, high system capacity and high-density Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, enabling PCCW and other service providers to effectively support the high bandwidth, large scale demands of next-generation IP-based services, such as IPTV. In two years since introduction, the E320 has achieved broad market acceptance, as evidenced by shipments of over 800 platforms to over 70 service provider customers worldwide.
