Juniper Networks to Secure Data Center for Israel's Largest Healthcare Organization
Integrated Firewall/VPN Solution to Protect 1,000 Servers
SUNNYVALE, Calif., November 8, 2006 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced that it is supplying integrated firewall/VPN devices to Clalit Health Services, Israel's largest health services provider, to protect data center operations and approximately 1,000 servers. The Juniper solution provides secure access between the data center and Clalit's hospitals, dental surgeries and clinics to simplify network deployment and security policy enforcement.
The deployment includes a pair of Juniper Networks NetScreen-5200 firewall/VPN systems operating in high-availability mode, to ensure maximum data throughput of up to eight gigabits per platform (10 gigabit throughput modules are also available from Juniper) and automatic failover without loss of live sessions or data in the event of a systems failure. Juniper Networks NetScreen-208 appliances are also deployed at some of Clalit's smaller locations to provide scaled firewall/VPN and virtualization functionality.
