Versatel Selects Juniper Networks for First Dutch Triple Play Over DSL Network
E-, M- and T-Series Routing Platforms Selected for Reliable Broadband Service Offerings
SUNNYVALE, Calif., November 7, 2005 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) today announced that Dutch service provider Versatel has selected Juniper Networks routing platforms for its new broadband services network. As the first service provider in the Netherlands to offer advanced voice, video and data—or Triple Play—services over DSL, Versatel is providing its ADSL customers with services that include Voice over IP (VoIP), broadcast TV, video on demand, and televised live sporting events, such as national league soccer.
The network upgrade is based on an end-to-end Juniper Networks solution consisting of E-, M- and T-series routing platforms deployed across 21 locations, and installed, integrated and maintained by Telindus, Juniper's local partner. The M- and T-series deliver advanced IP/MPLS capabilities in the core, and the E-series Broadband Services Routers provide unicasting and subscriber management capabilities at the edge. The Juniper Networks routing platforms deliver the industry-leading scalability, reliability and performance required to ensure the quality of Versatel's services.
