Unified Access Control Solution Leverages Deep Integration and Interoperability with Technology Partners to Ensure Secure and Assured Network Services

SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 24, 2005 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced support from a broad range of industry partners for its Enterprise Infranet unified access control solution. The unified access control solution, comprised of the Infranet Controller and Infranet Agent, uses a combination of identity-based policy and endpoint intelligence to give enterprises real-time visibility and policy control throughout the network. By leveraging industry standards and Juniper's open application program interfaces (APIs) and partner offerings, enterprises can deploy a best-in-class security solution to control access, prevent threats, ensure compliance, and deliver secure and assured network services.

The unified access control solution is available today (see press release today titled "Juniper Networks Delivers Enterprise Infranet Solution"). Juniper's Host Check technology, Juniper Endpoint Defense Initiative (J.E.D.I.) APIs and a variety of standards-based interfaces enable enterprises to combine the Infranet Controller and enforcement points with best-of-breed third-party security applications. This allows for deep integration and interoperability with leading partners delivering identity and access management (IAM), authentication, authorization and auditing (AAA) management, endpoint security, content management and security event management products; thereby enabling customers worldwide to leverage their existing cross-vendor investments in LAN security.
