Juniper Networks Leads in High-End Firewall/VPN and SSL VPN Markets

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 20, 2005 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced that Infonetics Research, Inc. has recognized Juniper Networks as the market share leader in the high-end Firewall (FW) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Virtual Private Network (VPN) markets in 1Q05. The Infonetics Research report titled "Network Security Appliances and Software Quarterly Worldwide Market Share and Forecasts for 1Q05" states that Juniper Networks garnered 34 percent revenue market share within the high-end (greater than or equal to $30,0000 price band) FW/VPN product category and garnered 37 percent revenue market share within the SSL VPN product category during the first quarter of 2005.
