Juniper Networks Announces Comprehensive Enterprise Routing and Security Certification Program

New Intrusion Detection And Prevention, SSL VPNs, and J-Series Tracks Offered

SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 28, 2005 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced the addition of intrusion detection and prevention (IDP), J-series enterprise routing, and Secure Access SSL VPN certification tracks to the Juniper Networks Technical Certification Program (JNTCP). With the addition of these three new tracks, JNTCP offers network professionals a comprehensive enterprise routing and security certification program that validates their skills. These new tracks are part of Juniper Networks’ strategy to enable its worldwide partners and customers to effectively design and deploy secure and assured networking solutions.

The new IDP, J-series, and Secure Access SSL VPN certification tracks and the existing Firewall/VPN track, focus on topics such as intrusion prevention, enterprise routing, perimeter security, virtual private networks and more. Exams for the newly created tracks test candidates’ theoretical and practical knowledge of network security and IP networking technologies, and the related platform configurations, operating systems, and troubleshooting skills.

Each of the six JNTCP tracks consists of up to four tiers, including Associate (JNCIA), Specialist (JNCIS), Professional (JNCIP), and Expert (JNCIE) levels. These multi-tiered tracks enable participants to demonstrate – through a combination of written proficiency exams, hands-on configuration and troubleshooting exams – their competence with Juniper Networks technology. In addition to the three new enterprise routing and security tracks, Juniper also offers tracks for M- and T-series routing platforms, E-series routers, and our Firewall/VPN products.
