Juniper Networks Named SSL VPN Market Share Leader by Industry Analyst Firm

Juniper Networks Revenue Larger Than Three Closest Competitors' Combined According to Report

SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 26, 2005 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced its continued market share leadership in the Secure Sockets Layer Virtual Private Network (SSL VPN) market, according to a report by IDC, the premier global market intelligence and advisory firm in the information technology and telecommunications industries. The report, entitled: "Worldwide SSL VPN Appliance 2005-2009 Forecast and 2004 Vendor Shares: Delivery Secure Application Access," dated March 2005, states Juniper Networks achieved a 195 percent growth with its SSL VPN revenue in 2004 compared with 2003.

"Juniper Networks was clearly the market leader in 2004 and its revenue figure is larger than its three closest competitors combined," said Charles Kolodgy, research director, Security Products at IDC. "Juniper's SSL VPN appliance offerings can meet the needs of any potential user. The products are some of the most mature in the market."
