Juniper Networks Appoints General Manager, Infrastructure Products Group
SUNNYVALE, Calif., November 9, 2004 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced the appointment of Carol Mills to the position of General Manager, Infrastructure Products Group (IPG). A member of Juniper Networks' executive team Mills will drive the IPG group's business strategy and product development roadmap as the company continues to extend its IP networking franchise. A seasoned industry executive, Mills brings almost 30 years experience in building world class engineering teams.

Prior to joining Juniper Networks, Mills was principal consultant for Barrymore and Baldwin, a strategy consulting firm. Before that Mills spent four years as chief executive officer of a private enterprise software company, Acta Technology, until it was acquired by Business Objects in 2002. Mills moved to Acta Technology from Hewlett Packard Company where, during her 17 year tenure, she held a number of leadership positions including general manager, Commercial Unix Business.
Mills holds an MBA from Harvard University, Cambridge M.A. and a BA in Economics from Smith College, Northampton M.A. Mills serves on the Board of Directors of Adobe Systems Incorporated.
