M-series Enables Navega.com to Improve the Interconnection with the NAP of the Americas

SUNNYVALE, Calif., September 1, 2004 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced that Navega.com, one of the largest regional telecom, data and Internet service providers in Central America, has deployed the M-series routing platform to increase network performance, reliability and security. This project, designed jointly with the systems integrator and solutions provider, Solunet, leverages carrier-class IP transport in Guatemala and El Salvador to improve the interconnection with the NAP of the Americas located in Florida, the fifth Tier-1 Network Access Point in the world.

"The M-series is designed to offer secure, scalable and highly reliable IP services in high-speed networks. Additionally, it reduces ramp-up time for new IP services and results in lower capital costs, increased operational support and a more efficient network implementation process."
