Juniper Networks Positioned in the Leader Quadrant in Enterprise Firewall Magic Quadrant
Company Evaluated on Vision and Execution
SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 22, 2004 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced it has been recognized in a recently released research report published by Gartner, Inc., a leading worldwide research and advisory firm. Juniper Networks is positioned in the leader quadrant in the enterprise firewall market. The report, entitled: "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Firewalls, 2H031", summarized evaluation of more than 20 vendors in the enterprise firewall market based on their vision and ability to execute on that vision 2.
More specifically, Gartner evaluated vendors on updated firewall criteria that were articulated in the previously published firewall Magic Quadrant report. These requirements included the ability to block network and application layer attacks, the use of custom processors, such as application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), and centralized management.
