PUMA Securely Connects Worldwide Retail Sites and Offices With NetScreen
Sunnyvale, CA - April 28, 2003—JNetScreen Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: NSCN) today announced that PUMA AG, a leading manufacturer of athletic footwear, apparel and accessories, has selected NetScreen security solutions to secure critical resources and establish virtual private network (VPN) connections among its globally dispersed retail stores, factories, offices and design centers.
PUMA has deployed NetScreen-5XP and NetScreen-5XT integrated firewall and VPN security appliances in each of its 80 global retail and field sites. Additionally, three NetScreen-204 devices, used to secure medium and large enterprise offices, data centers and carrier infrastructures, are deployed in PUMA's primary operations centers to serve as VPN concentrators and secure its critical data resources. For mobile workers, such as field sales professionals, PUMA has equipped employee laptops with NetScreen-Remote client software, allowing employees to establish secure VPN links to PUMA's enterprise Notes server and sales tools.
