Juniper Networks Announces Global Sales Management Team

Jeffrey Lindholm Appointed to Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Sunnyvale, CA - August 26, 2002 — Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR), a leading provider of trusted infrastructures for the New Public Network, today announced the management appointments of its new global sales team under the leadership of Jeffrey Lindholm, vice president, Worldwide Sales. Lindholm reports to Jim Dolce, executive vice president, Worldwide Field Operations, and has sales responsibility for all four major geographic theaters, including more than 30 sales offices as well as the company's channel and reseller relationships.

The global sales management team includes Don Pyle, vice president, North American Sales; Adam Judd, vice president, Asia Pacific Sales; Eddie Minshull, vice president, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Sales; and Tim Lambie, vice president, Latin American Sales. These executives will lead Juniper Networks sales organization as it continues to build upon its global customer base that already includes more than 600 of the world's leading service providers, carriers, and PTTs.

"This is a highly qualified and experienced international sales team and these executives all have successful track records in the networking industry."

Jeffrey Lindholm, Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Jeffrey Lindholm brings nearly two decades of networking sales and service management experience to Juniper Networks. Most recently, he was vice president, Worldwide Sales and Service at Unisphere Networks. His prior positions include vice president, Sales Development at Bay Networks (now Nortel Networks); vice president, Worldwide Sales and Service at New Oak Communications and Starburst Communications; vice president, Intercontinental Operations at Bay Networks; and senior marketing manager at Motorola/Codex.

Don Pyle, Vice President, North American Sales

Don Pyle joined Juniper Networks in August 1997, and was instrumental in building its organization and customer base in the eastern United States. Prior to joining Juniper Networks, Pyle was a Regional Manager at Cisco Systems where he managed one of the largest regions in the service provider division. He also served as Regional Manager at StrataCom, prior to its acquisition by Cisco. Previously, Pyle spent 10 years at Case Communications where he held sales and management positions that concentrated on service providers.

Adam Judd, Vice President, Asia Pacific Sales

Adam Judd, former vice president, Sales, Asia Pacific at Unisphere Networks, brings more than 11 years experience in international sales, marketing and business development in the networking industry to this position with Juniper Networks. He has been focused on the regional carrier and service provider markets for the last eight years, having headed up the Internet and Telecom business unit for Bay Networks Asia, and managed the carrier business development and marketing solutions division for Nortel Networks.

Eddie Minshull, Vice President, EMEA Sales

Eddie Minshull joined Juniper Networks in August 2001, bringing a wealth of international telecommunications and IT experience. Prior to joining Juniper Networks, Minshull was president, Northern Europe and CEO UK and Ireland at Alcatel where he was responsible for $5 billion of revenues and 10,500 employees across nine countries. Before Alcatel, Minshull held numerous senior executive positions including executive vice president and general manager, North America at Newbridge and director, Worldwide Channel Services at Compaq.

Tim Lambie, Vice President, Latin America Sales

With more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Lambie brings a strong concentration in international sales, marketing, and business development to this position. Most recently, Lambie held the same position at Unisphere Networks. Prior to joining Unisphere Networks, Lambie was the director, International Sales at NetCentric Corporation, where he was responsible for the creation and development of all sales opportunities outside North America. In addition, Lambie closely managed the coordination of corporate, field, and channel resources for national and multinational business opportunities for more than five years as the manager, Intercontinental Telecommunications Business Development, at Wellfleet Communications, Inc. / Bay Networks, Inc.
