ALLTEL Selects Juniper Networks for Internet Infrastructure
Little Rock, AR - September 14, 2001 - ALLTEL and Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR), a leading provider of next-generation Internet Protocol infrastructure systems, today announced that ALLTEL has selected a wide range of Juniper Networks M-series Internet backbone routers for ALLTEL's Internet network infrastructure. This new deployment is already working with broadband equipment to deliver digital subscriber line (DSL) service to ALLTEL customers.
"After thorough testing and analysis, ALLTEL selected Juniper Networks products for their extensive innovative capabilities, reliability and the company's commitment to open standards," said William Morgan, ALLTEL's manager of data engineering. "The Juniper Networks routers will provide faster and highly-reliable Internet connectivity and help us provision a solid digital subscriber line network for our customers."
ALLTEL will begin work immediately on a network analysis for rapid deployment of additional Juniper Networks routers.
