Telefónica Data Selects Juniper Networks for its IP Backbone
Sunnyvale, CA - July 24, 2001 - Telefónica Data, the Telefónica Group subsidiary that provides global telecommunications services to enterprises, and Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR), a leading provider of next-generation Internet Protocol (IP) infrastructure systems, today announced that Telefónica Data has selected Juniper Networks technology for its IP backbone. Juniper Networks M160 Internet backbone routers will enable both high-speed Internet access for Telefónica Data's domestic IP network infrastructure and for connections into its international network nodes.
With a primary business that requires 24x7 predictable performance across a variety of applications and the ability to scale easily in line with service demand, Telefónica Data selected Juniper Networks technology for its reliability, robustness, and scalability.
