Juniper Networks Connects TIME dotNet Malaysia with Smart IP Services

TIME dotNet's Core and International IP Backbone Network Feature Juniper Networks M40 Routers

Sunnyvale, CA - June 20, 2001 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR), a leading provider of next-generation IP infrastructure systems, today announced the deployment of M40 Internet backbone routers within the TIME dotNet™ network, a leading Internet service provider (ISP) in Malaysia. The new Internet infrastructure places TIME dotNet at the forefront of Asian networks, enabling the provider to offer premium accessibility and value-added Internet Protocol (IP) services such as virtual private networks (VPNs), voice over IP (VoIP), distance learning, and video on demand.

With the installation of M40 routers in the TIME dotNet core and international IP backbone network, the capacity of the network backbone will increase to 155 Mbps in each point of presence (POP). These new features and more rapid data transport allow TIME dotNet to offer high-speed, application-rich services to customers, as well as the necessary high capacity infrastructure for future service developments. Further nationwide expansion will take place throughout 2001.

"An IP infrastructure that is reliable, scalable, and of high performance is of vital importance to our customers. Juniper Networks routers allow Time dotNet to offer top performance, application choice, and reliability ahead of our competitors," said Wan Suhaimi Wan Abdullah, Head of Technology Division, TIME dotNet.

Commenting on the transaction, Julian Vincent, director, ASEAN Operations, Juniper Networks said, "This demonstrates how Juniper Networks is working with its partners to improve their service quality and customer offerings to substantially widen their existing range of valued-added services through the application of next-generation, IP-based infrastructure systems and routing technologies."

The installation of M40 routers within TIME dotNet in Malaysia represents a regional expansion of Juniper Networks M-series Internet routers. Juniper Networks IP infrastructure is now present in more than 500 service provider and carrier customers worldwide, including major network service providers, ISPs, ASPs, and Telcos in Asia Pacific.
