InterHost Deploys Juniper Networks Routers for Internet Data Centers in Spain

Network Infrastructure to Host Web-based Corporate Information Systems and Speed Internet Multimedia Content

Madrid, Spain - May 14, 2001 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR), a leading provider of next-generation IP infrastructure systems, today announced that InterHost, has deployed Juniper Networks M10 Internet backbone routers in its data centers in Spain.

Internet Service Provider InterHost is fully integrated in the SATEC Group, a Spanish engineering company specializing in network distribution and connection, and dedicated to the business of hosting Web-based corporate information systems. The firm's primary business involves Internet value-added services such as system management and operation, solution architecture, application integration, multimedia content, and the optimal use of shared resources.

By delivering reliable data content handling and hosting with the highest degree of efficiency, InterHost is offering flexible Internet bandwidth and secure IP service offerings through Juniper Networks M10 routers. These scalable network systems effectively manage InterHost data traffic, leveraging the on-board capabilities of the Internet Processor II for numerous security features vitally important in a data hosting environment.

In addition, data centers like InterHost benefit from reduced operations costs with the M10 router's small footprint and efficient use of power for lower monthly real estate usage and electrical costs.

"As a service provider, our business customers require 24x7 predictable performance in a variety of applications with the ability to easily scale for service demand. Juniper Networks M10 routers offer us flexibility and head-room for future applications as our business grows. Our customers' businesses benefit from the reliability of Juniper Networks JUNOS software and network systems that grow with our business to easily manage service delivery today and tomorrow," said Félix Díez Sacristán, General Manager at InterHost.

Mr. José Carrallo, General Manager of Juniper Networks in Spain, added, "InterHost is a good example of how service providers are leveraging the Juniper Networks M10 router and the four other M-series network system hardware platforms. We are pleased to work with InterHost in a true example of what service providers are planning to face the tremendous increase in Internet traffic with the highest efficiency available while reaching as many customers as possible."
