Solunet's customers have been waiting for a killer edge solution with the capabilities of the M5 and M10 routers, new interfaces, and JUNOS Release 4.1 software. Juniper Networks total edge solution includes two new small but powerful M-series platforms, the M5 and M10 Internet backbone routers, new T1/E1 and channelized DS-3 interfaces perfect for dedicated access applications, along with new access features for JUNOS Internet software. The new interfaces and JUNOS software are available across the entire M-series product family (the M20, M40 and M160 routers), optimizing all of them for both core and edge applications. The bottom line is improved efficiency and lower operational costs since the same JUNOS software runs on all Juniper Networks routers.
Telindus K-NET, a European-based system integrator, has also placed an early, substantial order for the new M5 and M10 routers.
