Mountain View, CA - September 1, 1999 — Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR), a leading provider of next-generation Internet infrastructure systems, today announced that it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed offering of up to 5,750,000 shares of Juniper Networks common stock. Of the total shares offered, 1,500,000 shares will be offered by the Company and 3,500,000 will be offered by certain stockholders of the Company. To the extent the underwriters sell more than 5,000,000 shares of common stock, the underwriters have an option to purchase up to an additional 272,564 shares from Juniper Networks and 477,436 shares from the selling stockholders at the initial price to the public less the underwriting discount.
