Juniper Networks Announces Initial Public Offering

Mountain View, CA - June 25, 1999 — Juniper Networks, Inc., a provider of Internet backbone routers, today announced the initial public offering of its common stock on the Nasdaq National Market under the trading symbol JNPR.

The initial public offering price for the 4,800,000 shares in common stock offered by the company and selling stockholders is $34 per share. These shares of common stock do not include the over-allotment option granted to the underwriters. The offering is being managed by Goldman, Sachs & Co., Credit Suisse First Boston, BancBoston Robertson Stephens and Dain Rauscher Wessels, a division of Dain Rauscher Incorporated.

A registration statement relating to these securities was declared effective yesterday by the Securities and Exchange Commission. This press release shall not constitute an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy, nor shall there be any sale of these securities in any state or jurisdiction in which such offer, solicitation, or sale would be unlawful under the securities laws of any such state or jurisdiction.
