Juniper Networks Launches in Europe to Serve Evolving Global Service Provider Demand
Mountain View, CA - March 3, 1999 — Juniper Networks, Inc., the leading provider of the new generation of high-speed IP infrastructure platforms, has announced the company's expansion into the European market with the opening of its UK offices. Juniper is also now shipping in Europe its M40 Internet backbone router, the industry's first wire-speed platform capable of forwarding rates of 40 gigabits per second and packet look-ups of 40 million packets per second. The M40 uses JUNOS Internet software to deliver leading-edge traffic engineering and control. Juniper Networks expansion into Europe will serve the burgeoning European IP service provider market, and provide current ISP customers with international support. Today's announcement extends Juniper Network's commitment to provide best-in-class products, service and support to IP service providers with trans-European and global Internet-scale needs.
