Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development
Luis Avila-Marco is Juniper's Executive Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development. As the company's strategy leader, Avila-Marco helps to shape Juniper's business vision and strategy by working with Juniper executives worldwide. As leader of corporate development, he is responsible for M&A, business development activities, strategic technology company investments, and overseeing the Juniper Innovation Fund investments in groundbreaking companies focused on improving the experience and economics of networking. He joined Juniper from Scientific-Atlanta, a Cisco Systems, Inc. company, where he served in a series of roles in engineering, product management, business development, sales and marketing and strategy, over the course of his 14 year tenure there. Mr. Avila-Marco earned a bachelor's degree in telecommunications engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain) and an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. |
