Gerri Elliott
Executive Vice President, Chief Sales, Services and Support Officer
Gerri Elliott is responsible for driving the strategic and operational elements of Juniper's sales force. In this role, she leads a global organization of more than 2,500 professionals that encompasses direct and indirect sales, systems engineering, advanced technologies, and field operations. She reports directly to the CEO. Previously, Gerri was executive vice president of Strategic Alliances, where she built and maintained relationships for all of Juniper’s strategic partnerships worldwide. Gerri joined Juniper Networks from Microsoft, where as corporate vice president of the Worldwide Public Sector organization she led a team of more than 2,000 sales and marketing professionals that served government, education and healthcare customers in more than 100 countries. She was also co-head of the company's North American subsidiary. In this role, she developed and implemented a global strategy to establish Microsoft's first industry vertical sales sectors that spanned telecommunications, financial services, the public sector, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, professional services, and media and entertainment. Prior to Microsoft, Gerri spent 22 years at IBM both in the U.S. and abroad. She held key executive and management positions in strategy development, services and consulting, product management, and sales field and headquarters leadership. Based out of Tokyo for two years, she served as vice president of IBM’s Asia Pacific Distribution Sector, and was then promoted to a larger role as vice president of the Americas Distribution Sector. In that capacity, she led a team responsible for IBM's largest customers in the travel, transportation, retail, and wholesale and consumer goods industries across North and South America. Gerri holds a bachelor's degree in international politics from New York University. She participated in the Center for Executive Women Senior Leadership Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and now serves on the Center's advisory board. She is also on the National Advisory Board of Catalyst, a research organization expanding opportunities for women in business. |
