Denise Shiffman leads Product Management and Technical Marketing for Juniper’s Development and Innovation organization. Her responsibilities span business and portfolio strategy, product definition and evolution, technical marketing and technical alliance partnerships. Since joining Juniper in 2011, Shiffman has led product evolution of the switching and security product portfolios and set the direction for Juniper’s network function virtualization (NFV) and cloud services platforms.
Prior to joining Juniper, Shiffman was CEO of Swarm Networks, a distributed storage software start-up. She also served as Vice President for the Network Storage Division of Sun Microsystems where she led product strategy, product definition and marketing for the $3B product portfolio. In her 10 years at Sun, Shiffman held key management roles in the Desktop Division, Server Division and Sun Labs. She managed both engineering and product management teams and was instrumental in leading Sun’s transition from a technical workstation company to a commercial systems server vendor in the mid 1990s.
Shiffman holds a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University and Master’s in Business Administration from Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management. She has more than 25 years’ experience in leading product and marketing organizations in technology industries.
