Completing the Professional and Expert-level Junos-based Certification Tracks

New Courses and Certifications

Juniper Networks Education Services is completing the Junos-based curriculum and Juniper Networks Certification Program (JNCP) certifications for the Service Provider Routing and Switching (SP), Enterprise Routing and Switching (ENT), and Junos Security (SEC) tracks!

The following six new Professional-level courses are now available for enrollments:

  • Advanced Junos Service Provider Routing (AJSPR)
  • Junos Multicast Routing (JMR)
  • Advanced Junos Enterprise Routing (AJER)
  • Advanced Junos Enterprise Switching (AJEX)
  • Advanced Junos Security (AJSEC)
  • Junos Unified Threat Management (JUTM)

To complete the Professional-level of the Junos-based certification tracks, the following new written, scenario-based certification exams will be released:

Certification Available
JNCIP-SEC April 15, 2011
JNCIP-SP April 22, 2011
JNCIP-ENT May, 2011

To complete the Expert-level of the Junos-based certification tracks, the following new lab-based certification exams will be released:

Certification Available
JNCIE-SEC August, 2011
JNCIE-SP July, 2011
JNCIE-ENT October, 2011

Students will now have a complete training and certification path that reflects career opportunities and job roles in networking, aligned with industry usage of Juniper Networks' portfolio of products and solutions.

Enhanced Flexibility, Convenience, and Validation of Skills

With three new professional and expert-level options (in the SP, ENT, and SEC tracks) candidates now have more options to specialize based on their career goals including the first ever JNCP Professional and Expert-level credentials in enterprise switching and Junos security.

The switch to written exams at the professional level gives candidates the convenience of taking exams on their schedule at any of the more than 5,000 worldwide Prometric Testing Centers or as part of onsite-training engagements…no more travel and time out of the office to take an exam!

The new Professional-level exams are fully supported by comprehensive training curricula and practice tests. The exams will be a comprehensive validation of the candidate's skills as they test on a broad range of theoretical and Junos topics. By passing the new Professional-level exams, candidates demonstrate they have mastered the breadth of the Junos OS in their respective track and have the ability to choose the correct solution based on a given set of requirements. The focus of Expert-level exams remains a live, lab-based application of Junos skills in demanding, real-world situations.
