Has the Juniper Networks Certification Fast Track Program been extended through 2008?

Yes!

Are there any changes to the program?

Yes, there are a number of changes:

First, the existing Enterprise Routing courseware, a value of several thousand dollars, will remain available to you at no cost., However, beginning February 5, 2008, vouchers received for the JNCIA-ER or the JNCIA-ER to be redeemed at any Prometric Testing Center will be worth a 50% savings.

Second, we have dropped the Cisco routing certification requirement. Therefore, in 2008 any experienced networking professional can participate in the program.

Third, on February 5, 2008, we will be providing you with a new, easy-to-navigate enhanced Fast Track Web Portal.

If I received a voucher in 2007 to take the JNCIA-ER or the JNCIS-ER certification exams at no charge, will you honor these vouchers?

Yes, any voucher received prior to February 5, 2008 can be redeemed at any Prometric Testing Center and will be worth the cost of the exam, allowing you to take the exam at no charge.

Will more certifications be added to the Fast Track portal?

Yes, stay tuned for more certification offerings!

Can internal Juniper Networks technical employees and Juniper Networks Partners take advantage of this program?

Yes, this program is open to any experienced networking professional.

Do you have to be Cisco Certified Professionals to take advantage of this program?

Not any longer. The program was originally created for Cisco-certified professionals; however, in 2008 we have dropped this requirement. Therefore, any experienced networking professional can participate in the program

Can users share Juniper Networks Certification Fast Track Web Portal Access Cards?

Yes, a Web Portal Access Card can be shared by numerous people. Participants must enter the Web Portal Access Card number into the Fast Track Web Portal; however, that number can be used more than once.

The e-mail version of the Fast Track Web Portal Access Card has only one Web Portal access number on it. Can this be used by multiple participants?

Yes, multiple users can use this same Web Portal Access number on the Fast Track Web Portal.

How can I register for the JNCIA-ER or JNCIS-ER exams?

Go to Prometric's Website at www.2test.com.

Where can I find training centers in my area?

Can you provide me with a Juniper Networks virtual lab at no cost like Microsoft offers?

Unfortunately, we do not have a virtual lab setup at this time. You do not need hands-on experience to take advantage of our Fast Track exams.

For how many years are the JNCIA-ER and JNCIS-ER certifications valid?

Certifications are valid for 2 years.

I cannot log in to the Fast Track Web Portal again after passing the exam at the Prometric Testing Center. What should I do? OR I passed the JNCIA/S-ER exam, but I still have not received the confirmation e-mail from Prometric, so I cannot activate my account at CertManager. Why is this?

If you passed your exam within the last few days at Prometric, it will take a few days for Prometric to send us your exam information. You will need to wait a few days for your account to be created before you can create a login in CertManager. Please try again in 2-4 days.

How long does it take to receive the official certificate after passing the certification exam at Prometric?

Expect your certificate to arrive 4-6 weeks after it has been processed. Let us know by e-mailing us at certification-fasttrack@juniper.net if you still have not received your certificate by that time, and we will expedite it for you.

I tried logging in to your site at http://www.juniper.net/fasttrack, but I could not. What should I do?

If you are having login problems, you might need to try the "Forgot your login information" link on the login page. If that does not help you email us at certification-fasttrack@juniper.net

What other certifications can I achieve besides the JNCIA-ER and JNCIS-ER certifications?

At this time, we are not offering any other certifications other than those listed on the site. However, coming soon in 2008, additional certifications will be added to this site, so check back often.

For how long will the voucher remain valid?

The voucher is valid for 30 days upon receipt. Please register for an exam before the 30 days. Your exam date can be scheduled for anytime.

How many times am I allowed to take the preassessment exams to get a voucher at a 50% discount?

You are allowed to take the preassessment exam as many times as you need to achieve a passing score of 70% to receive a voucher to take the live exam at a 50% discount.

How many vouchers can I receive at a 50% discount?

Currently, you can receive two vouchers at a 50% discount; one for the JNCIA-ER exam and one for the JNCIS-ER exam. Note that during 2008, more certifications will be added, so check back often.

What are the exam numbers for the vouchers I receive at a 50% discount?

At this time, the vouchers are valid for the JNO-341, JNO-342, and JNO-350 only. Note that during 2008, more certifications will be added, so check back often.

What is the difference between JNO-341 and JNO-342?

Both JNO-341 and JNO-342 are the JNCIA-ER exam. The JN0-342 is soon to replace the JNO-341 exam. The JNO-342 exam is for the same certification, but the exam has some minor modifications. Passing the JNO-341 exam will grant you the JNCIA-ER certification, and it will be valid for the full 2-year period before needing to recertify.

Must I take the exam before the voucher expires, or can I take it even after the voucher expires?

The expiration date indicates the date by which you must register for the exam. However, you can schedule to take your exam after the voucher expiration date, whenever it is most convenient for you.

How can I get the training materials for the test?

The study materials are located in the Fast Track Web Portal. You will find them under the "Study Resources" link after logging in.
