STRM 2008.1 ECS License patch


If you are running STRM 2008.1, you must apply this patch or upgrade to STRM 2008.2. This patch resolves the following issue: 

Extends the Event Correlation Engine license to ensure continued service until December 2009. In the future, there will be a software upgrade that will eliminate the requirement for this license. 


This patch must be applied to all STRM 500 and STRM 2500 appliances running STRM release 2008.1.


To apply this patch:

1- Download the patch file (STRM2008.1_patchupdate-6.1.1.71.sh.bz2)  from

    http://www.juniper.net/support

2- Copy the file to the /tmp directory on your system.

3- Go to the temporary directory:
       cd /tmp

4- Uncompress the file:
       bunzip2 STRM2008.1_patchupdate-6.1.1.71.sh.bz2

6- Install the patch:
       ./STRM2008.1_patchupdate-6.1.1.71.sh
