Automation Script Types

Two types of automation scripts are available to you: operation (ops) scripts and event scripts:

• Ops scripts—Execute operational commands and inspect router output through the command-line interface (CLI). Ops scripts are executed by the mgd process.
• Event scripts—Automatically execute operational commands and inspect router output when triggered by previously configured event policy scripts. Event scripts are executed by the eventd process.
