Configuring Protocol Family and Address
Interface PropertiesFor each logical interface, you must configure one or more protocol families. You can also configure interface address properties. To do this, include the following statements:
familyfamily{accounting {destination-class-usage;source-class-usage {direction;}}filter{dialer filter-name;inputfilter-name;outputfilter-name;groupfilter-group-number;}llc2{ack-delay-timetime;ack-maxcount;idle-time time;local-windowcount;max-retrycount;p-bit-timeout time;redundancy-groupgroup-number{advertise-intervalseconds;map {local-macmac-addressremote-macmac-address;{preempt hold-timeseconds;no-preempt;prioritypriority;track {dlsw {destinationmac-addresspriority-costpriority;peerip-addresspriority-costpriority;}interfaceinterface-namepriority-costpriority;}}t1-timetime;t2-timetime;trej-timetime;}keep-address-and-control;mtubytes;multicast-only;no-redirects;policer {arppolicer-template-name;inputpolicer-template-name;outputpolicer-template-name;}primary;protocol [inet iso mpls];proxy inet-address address;receive-options-packets;receive-ttl-exceeded;remote (inet-address address | mac-address address);rpf-check <fail-filter filter-name> {<mode loose>;}(translate-discard-eligible | no-translate-discard-eligible);(translate-fecn-and-becn | no-translate-fecn-and-becn);unnumbered-addressinterface-name<destinationaddressdestination-profileprofile-name>;addressaddress{arpip-address(mac |multicast-mac)mac-address<publish>;broadcastaddress;destinationaddress;destination-profilename;eui-64;multipoint-destinationaddress(dlcidlci-identifier| vcivci-identifier);multipoint-destinationaddress{epd-threshold cells plp1cells;inverse-arp;oam-liveness{up-countcells;down-countcells;}oam-period(seconds| disable);shaping{(cbrrate|rtvbrpeakratesustainedrateburstlength|vbrpeakratesustainedrateburstlength);queue-lengthnumber;}vcivpi-identifier.vci-identifier;}preferred;primary;vrrp-groupgroup-number{(accept-data | no-accept-data);advertise-intervalseconds;authentication-keykey;authentication-typeauthentication;fast-intervalmilliseconds;(preempt | no-preempt) {hold-timeseconds;}prioritynumber;track{priority-hold-timeseconds;interfaceinterface-name{priority-costpriority;bandwidth-thresholdbits-per-second {priority-costpriority; } } }virtual-address[addresses];}}}}}}You can include these statements at the following hierarchy levels:
