set cli idle-timeout

Syntax

set cli idle-timeout timeout

Description

Set the maximum time that an individual session can be idle before the user is logged off the router. The session times out after remaining at the CLI operational mode prompt for the specified time. The session can time out while monitoring log files.

Default

If you do not issue this command, and the user's login class does not specify this value, the user is never forced off the system after extended idle times.

Options

timeout—Maximum idle time, in minutes
    Range: 0 through 100,000 minutes. Setting it to 0 disables the timeout.
