Specify the Route Metric

You can specify up to four metric values, starting with metric (for the first metric value) and continuing with metric2, metric3, and metric4 by including one or more of the following statements at the [edit routing-options generate (defaults | route)] hierarchy level (for routing instances, include the statements at the [edit routing-instances routing-instance-name routing-options generate (defaults | route)] hierarchy level):

[edit routing-options generate (defaults | route)] 

(metric | metric2 | metric3 | metric4) metric <type type>; 

In the type option, you specify the type of route.
