Syntax
compatibility-mode (adtran | digital-link | kentrox | larscom | verilink) <subratevalue>;Hierarchy Level
[edit interfacesinterface-namee3-options],[edit interfacesinterface-namet3-options]Description
Configure the E3 or T3 interface to be compatible with the channel service unit (CSU) at the remote end of the line.
Default
If you omit this option, the full E3 or T3 rate is used.
Options
adtran—For T3 QPP interfaces only, configure compatibility with Adtran CSUs.
digital-link—Configure compatibility with Digital Link CSUs. If you include this option on an E3 interface, you must also disable payload scrambling.
kentrox—Configure compatibility with Kentrox CSUs. Kentrox subrate is valid for T3 QPP interfaces only.
larscom—For T3 and T3 QPP interfaces only, configure compatibility with Larscom CSUs.
verilink—For T3 QPP interfaces only, configure compatibility with Verilink CSUs.
subratevalue—Subrate of the E3 or T3 line. The subrate of an E3 or T3 interface must exactly match that of the remote CSU.For Adtran CSUs, specify the subrate
valueas a number from 1 through 588 that exactly matches the value configured on the CSU. A subrate value of 588 corresponds with 44.2 Mbps, or 100 percent. A subrate value of 1 corresponds with, which is 75.17 kbps, or 0.17 percent.
For Digital Link CSUs, specify the subrate
valueas the data rate you configured on the CSU in the formatxKborx.xMb. For a list of specific rate values, use the command completion feature in the CLI. The range is 301 kbps through 44.2 Mbps. For Kentrox CSUs, specify the subrate
valueas a number from 1 through 69 that exactly matches the value configured on the CSU. A subrate value of 69 corresponds with 34.995097 Mbps, or 79.17 percent. A subrate value of 1 corresponds with 999.958 kbps, or 2.26 percent. Each increment of the subrate value corresponds with corresponds with a rate increment of about 0.5 Mbps. Kentrox subrate is supported on T3 QPP interfaces only. For Larscom CSUs, specify the subrate
valueas a number from 1 through 14 that exactly matches the value configured on the CSU. A subrate value of 14 corresponds with 44.2 Mbps, or 100 percent. A subrate value of 1 corresponds with 44.2 / 14, which is 3.16 Mbps, 7.15 percent. For Verilink CSUs, specify the subrate
valueas a number from 1 through 28 that exactly matches the value configured on the CSU. A subrate value of 28 corresponds with 44.2 Mbps, or 100 percent, and a subrate value of 1 corresponds with 1.57891765 Mbps, or 3.57 percent.Usage Guidelines
