For ATM encapsulation only, define the variable bandwidth utilization in the traffic-shaping profile.
When you configure the variable bandwidth utilization, you must specify all three options (
burst, peak, andsustained). You can specifyratein bits per second either as a complete decimal number or as a decimal number followed by the abbreviationk(1000),m(1,000,000), org(1,000,000,000). You can also specifyratein cells per second by entering a decimal number followed by the abbreviationc; values expressed in cells per second are converted to bits per second by means of the formula 1 cps = 384 bps.Default
Unspecified bit rate (UBR); that is, bandwidth utilization is unlimited.
Options
burstlength—Burst length, in cells. If you set the length to 1, the peak traffic rate is used.
Range: 1 through 4000 cells
peakrate—Peak rate, in bps or cps.
Range: 33 kbps through 135.6 Mbps (ATM OC-3); 33 kbps through 276 Mbps (ATM OC-12)
sustainedrate—Sustained rate, in bps or cps.
Range: 33 kbps through 135.6 Mbps (ATM OC-3); 33 kbps through 276 Mbps (ATM OC-12)Usage Guidelines
