Disabling Application Identification
Application identification is enabled by default. You can disable
application identification with the CLI.
Before You Begin
For background information, read:
The configuration instructions in this topic describe how to
disable application identification.
You can use either J-Web or the CLI configuration editor to
disable application identification.

CLI Configuration
To disable and application identification:
Specify the disable configuration option.
user@host# set security idp sensor-configuration
application-identification disable
If you want to reenable application identification,
delete the configuration statement that specifies disabling of application
identification.
user@host# delete security idp sensor-configuration
application-identification disable
If you are finished configuring the router,
commit the configuration.
From configuration mode in the CLI, enter the show security idp command to verify the configuration. For more
