Example: Configuring Media Gateway FXO Trunks for Integrated Convergence Services (J-Web)
In this example, you configure SRX Series MGW FXO interfaces for telephony service provider trunks. This example assumes that a 4-port FXO voice Mini-PIM has been added to the SRX210 device to allow for connectivity expansion.
The FXO interfaces available on the SRX210 device used in this example and the trunks used for them are shown in Table 7

Configure FXS interfaces to be used for communication between the SRX210 and the PBX device.
- Select Convergence Services > Media Gateway > Trunks, and click Add to add a new trunk.
- In the New Trunk Configuration box, enter fxs1 in the Trunk name field.
- Select fxs as the trunk type in the Trunk type field menu.
- In the TDM interface field, specify fxs–0/0/10as the interface to be used.
- Click OK.
- Click Commit to commit the configuration.
Configure FXS interfaces to be used for communication between the SRX210 and the PBX device.
- Select Convergence Services > Media Gateway > Trunks, and click Add to add a new trunk.
- In the New Trunk Configuration box, enter fxs1 in the Trunk name field.
- Select fxs as the trunk type in the Trunk type field menu.
- In the TDM interface field, specify fxs–0/0/10as the interface to be used.
- Click OK.
- Click Commit to commit the configuration.
Configure FXS interfaces to be used for communication between the SRX210 and the PBX device.
- Select Convergence Services > Media Gateway > Trunks, and click Add to add a new trunk.
- In the New Trunk Configuration box, enter fxs2 in the Trunk name field.
- Select fxs as the trunk type in the Trunk type field menu.
- In the TDM interface field, specify fxs-0/0/11 as the interface to be used.
- Click OK.
- Click Commit to commit the configuration.
Configure FXS interfaces to be used for communication between the SRX210 and the PBX device.
- Select Convergence Services > Media Gateway > Trunks, and click Add to add a new trunk.
- In the New Trunk Configuration box, enter fxs4 in the Trunk name field.
- Select fxs as the trunk type in the Trunk type field menu.
- In the TDM interface field, specify fxs-1/0/1 as the interface to be used.
- Click OK.
- Click Commit to commit the configuration.
Follow the preceding set of steps to create 5 additional trunks.
